#1: You Have A Chewing Habit

If you have a habit of chewing on things, then you might end up causing yourself some amount of tooth pain. For instance, if you get to work every day and chew on a paperclip, while you prepare for the day (and then you chew on it more later), you may end up damaging or aggravating your tooth. Chewing using the same teeth over and over (when you don’t need to be chewing) can cause a toothache.

#2: Missing Teeth!

It’s hard to imagine that missing teeth can cause a toothache. However, it often happens when two teeth that previously failed to touch make contact due to your tooth loss. Replacing teeth will save the day.

#3: Your Filling Is Gone

Think about the tooth that you think is hurting you (it’s not always easy to pinpoint a toothache). Now ask yourself whether that tooth has a dental filling. If the answer is yes, then you may need to remember that sometimes fillings can become damaged or may fall out. When this occurs, the nerves within your tooth are exposed.
