riverside denturesIf you have suffered from advanced tooth loss, then you may need more than a simple dental bridge. Fortunately, we can help! With full and partial dentures, both removable and implant-supported, we can help you smile with confidence again. In today’s blog, your Riverside Dental Group team talks about our custom dentures.

Full Dentures

If you have lost most or all of your natural teeth, then you could benefit from a full set of new teeth. Our team will first gently numb the areas with the few remaining teeth and carefully extract them. Next, we will take detailed digital images of your bite from multiple angles, and use these in a lab setting to design and craft your prosthetics. Your prosthetic will contain a complete row of ceramic teeth, which we shade for a more natural appearance. These teeth will be set in an acrylic base that looks like gum tissue.

With suction or the assistance of an adhesive, you will keep your new teeth firmly in place, removing them at night for soaking and cleaning. These will restore function and beauty to your smile again, and our removable options last about 5 to 10 years on average.

Partial Dentures

If you have lost several teeth and the gaps are spread out across your smile, but still have enough natural teeth in place that a complete set of dentures is not needed, then we could create a partial. The partial is also custom-made and contains new ceramic teeth set in an acrylic base as well. However, these teeth are designed to fit in the gaps between your teeth, keeping your smile full and preventing misalignment and other complications due to advanced tooth loss. Metal clasps will attach to natural teeth to secure your prosthetic completely.

Dental Implant Dentures

Along with our removable options, we could also secure new teeth with dental implants, inserting these into the jaw and preserving the jawbone structure in the process, which means when we attach your prosthetic they are fixed in place and don’t need to be removed. They also last far longer, decades or even a lifetime. If you have any questions about how we address advanced tooth loss with dentures, then reach out to our team today to learn more.
