Zoom! Teeth Whitening

The Zoom! system can actually remove discoloration in as little as 45 minutes. The process begins with the doctor placing a protective covering over the lips and exposed gums. We then apply the bleaching gel to the teeth. Using a curing light, we activate the bleaching ingredients, which begin removing the stains from the teeth. The entire procedure typically takes between 45 minutes and an hour.

At-Home Whitening Trays

The at-home system uses trays and gel to remove discoloration. Unlike store bought systems, this one reduces the chances of tooth sensitivity and gum irritation. First, you will come to the office and we will take impressions of your teeth. The impression is used to create a set of trays. Each day you will wear the gel-filled trays, either overnight or for a set amount of time each day. Treatment usually takes between a week and ten days, brightening teeth by several shades.

Which Will Best Erase Discoloration?

Which option will work best? That depends on your discoloration. If your stains are on the surface and caused by the foods and drinks you consume, Zoom! may be enough. However, if you have more substantial discoloration, including stains beneath the surface as a result of injury, fluorosis, or tetracycline usage, the home-based option may work best.
