Do you multiple missing teeth? Have you lost all of your teeth? If so, you understand how tooth loss can have a negative impact on the health and appearance of your smile. We offer two dental prosthetics to restore lost teeth. Which option will work best for you? Do you need full dentures or partial dentures?

Partial Dentures

How do partials work? First, we take impressions of your teeth and jaw to design and fabricate a lifelike prosthetic. The new teeth contain metal clasps that attach the natural ones in your jaw, anchoring it into place. We often recommend this option for this with multiple missing teeth that don’t yet need a full set of dentures. We use lifelike materials to ensure your new teeth will look natural. You will be able to eat, speak, and smile with confidence and ease.

Full Dentures

If you are missing all of your teeth on one or both arches then we may recommend a full set of dentures. As with partials, we take impressions of your teeth and jaw. However, this prosthetic will consist of artificial teeth set in an acrylic base. The base will be designed to mimic the look of natural gum tissue. They will be held in place with natural suction or a combination of suction and adhesives to hold the new teeth in place. They will last about five to ten years before requiring adjustment or replacement. You will once again be able to eat normally and enjoy the ability to smile and speak without difficulty.

Which Should I Select?

That depends on the severity of your tooth loss. We will carefully examine your smile to assess your tooth loss. We may then recommend a partial or full prosthetic. If you have any questions about tooth replacement then please contact our office today.
