Beware The Citrus

Remember that snacking on oranges and sipping on lemonade is always fun and delicious and oh so summery. However, it’s not very kind on your teeth. Both the acids and sugars promote the weakening of your enamel and, subsequently, tooth decay. Your Riverside dentist suggests you enjoy these in moderation – or, at the very least, immediately drink water or rinse with water after you consume citrus. Then, brush your teeth a half hour later if possible.

Plan Ahead For Travel

Keeping your smile safe and sound during your summer travels can be easy – as long as you take just a few moments to plan ahead. Your Riverside dentist suggests writing a list of the things you will need and then checking it off before you zip up your luggage. Don’t forget the following:

  • Toothpaste
  • Dental Floss
  • Oral Appliance (such as for sleep apnea, bruxism, or TMJ disorder)
  • Mouthwash (if you use it)
