You want to do your best to protect it but you’re also busy, so recalling how often to brush and floss, how often to schedule visits, and more can sometimes get a bit jumbled up in your mind. Fortunately, after some practice, this will all become second nature. For now, your Riverside dentist would like to lay the details out with an easy-to-use list based on numbers. Can’t remember something? Check the list until you’ve committed it to memory!

The Number 1

Not sure how often you should floss your teeth every day? Your Riverside dentist says: Just once. Yep, it’s really that simple. Floss one time every day and you’re providing your dental health and your periodontal health with serious protection. Skip this flossing session even one time and your oral health may suffer the consequences!

The Number 2

The number two comes up very, very often, so it’s a good one to keep in mind! Your Riverside dentist encourages you to look over the following list a few times a day, so you become used to which aspects of your oral health care you should be performing twice a day, a year, and so on:

  • During Brushing: Brush your teeth for two minutes each time
  • Daily: Brush your teeth twice a day (on a daily basis)
  • Annually: Schedule a dental care visit with us for a dental examination and a cleaning twice a year (we suggest you space them out by approximately six months)
