You get into the habit of wearing your Invisalign treatment trays, storing them at home or when you’re out to eat, cleaning them at night, going to bed, and repeating it all over again the next day in your daily life. Unfortunately, when you travel, those daily habits get thrown out the window! To make sure this doesn’t negatively affect the progress of your orthodontic work, we have some extremely helpful tips!
Tip #1: Remember To Bring Them!
While this seems very obvious, it’s so simple to overlook even the most important detail as you attempt to pack for a trip (especially if you find yourself in a rush). To avoid remembering that your trays are at home just as your plane lifts off, we suggest you create a checklist with your Invisalign treatment trays in the number one slot!
Tip #2: Keep A Travel Kit On You
It’s a good idea to pack a travel kit with a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, and storage case in your suitcase. It’s an even better idea to keep that kit with you at all times. Toss it into your carry-on bag. Or tuck it into your travel bag that you keep with you in the car (not the trunk). That way, you can snack and eat and enjoy yourself without neglecting your need to rinse your trays and brush your teeth before putting them back over your smile.
Tip #3: Bring A Backup Case
There’s something about the way that traveling breaks your usual routine that makes it so easy to lose things. We encourage you to bring a backup storage case with you, just in case. As a result, you can leave one in the hotel room and keep one with you. If you leave one on the plane, you’re not stuck without it. Trust us, it might make your experience with Invisalign treatment away from home much less stressful.
