As the year draws to a close, it’s natural to look back and reflect on what you did and did not get accomplished. And with the new year on the horizon, maybe you have a few resolutions for things to do differently in 2021. If the brightness of your smile is on your mind, did you know it is possible to whiten teeth safely in about one hour, in the comfortable environment of the Moreno Valley, CA, dental office? After teeth-whitening many people report a boost in confidence, feeling more comfortable in photographs, and seeing a more youthful reflection in the mirror.

Is Zoom Whitening Safe?

Zoom in office teeth-whitening is a safe procedure that uses a professional strength bleaching agent to remove surface stains while you are comfortable relaxing in our office. Our experienced team will protect lip and gum tissue and any teeth not being treated, which might include crowns or other restorations that will not react to the bleaching gel. The gel is applied to the selected teeth, and activated with a special light. After a carefully timed session (usually 15 minutes) the gel is removed, to check progress. In most cases, three sessions leave teeth several shades lighter in about an hour.

Can I Just Walk in And Ask for Zoom?

The Zoom process works best on teeth that have recently undergone a professional cleaning. If you are already seeing us for checkups and cleanings, we can schedule a Zoom treatment the same day as a cleaning. We welcome new patients, and can schedule a cosmetic consultation for any issue that concerns you, and set up the appropriate appointments to move towards your improved smile.

Does The Zoom Treatment Really Work?

Teeth-whitening is highly successful at addressing extrinsic stains. These are stains in the outer enamel layer of your teeth, usually caused by the food and drinks you enjoy. If your teeth have intrinsic discoloration, which can occur from certain medications, tooth damage, or are due to natural differences in tooth color, then a bleaching process will not achieve the desired result. However, there are other cosmetic options to improve tooth color, such as porcelain veneers.
