The Need for Orthodontic Treatment for Teens and Adults
Our team provides orthodontic treatment for teens and adults because we know that an even smile is a healthy one. The ability to brush and floss daily is much simpler, lowering the chances for cavities and gum disease to occur, and the risk of associated complications like TMJ disorder and bruxism, is lower too. The Invisalign® System
With the Invisalign® system, we shift your teeth without the need for metal brackets and wires. Instead, patients will wear a set of aligners from a full series of them, all custom-made for your bite. Each set is worn daily for about 20 to 23 hours per day on average, and each set is also worn for a total of two weeks. You then start wearing the next set in the series, so your smile is gently corrected with an option that is practically invisible, and easy to use. They can be taken out before meals to avoid particles being trapped in your orthodontics, and to make sure you don’t have to avoid certain items. This removable nature also means a much easier time brushing and flossing too! For some, an even smile is possible in as little as a year.
Creating Custom Orthodontics
To create them, we will take digital images and impressions of your bite with advanced technology, such as intraoral cameras and x-rays. We then send these images and measurements to a lab where experts will use them to create a series of aligners custom-made for your smile in particular. They will fit comfortably, and each set brings you closer to your best possible smile.
